Current Event Project 4

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/09/27/china.one.child.policy/index.html

China annouced today that they will not be dropping the one child policy, which has been in affect for thirty years. It has been estimated that this policy has prevented four hundred millon births. Some people have urged China to relax this policy. This is partly because the rule makes the population skewed towards older people. Since the measure limits a couple to have only one child, girls tend to be not wanted. This is why thousands of chinese girls are being put up for adoption by foreigners. Some people, who live in the rural area and both are only children can sometimes have more than one child.

Do you think it is fair that goverment limits a couple to only one child?
